Resolution criteria:

This market will resolve to "Yes" if, by December 31, 2025, Kseniia Petrova is deported to Russia. The market will resolve to "No" if she is not deported to Russia by that date. If no verifiable information is available by the resolution date, the market will resolve to "N/A."

Background:

Kseniia Petrova, a Russian medical researcher at Harvard University, was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in February 2025 after failing to declare frog embryo samples upon returning from a trip to France. Her visa was revoked, and she is currently held in an ICE detention facility in Louisiana, awaiting an asylum hearing scheduled for May 7, 2025. Petrova has previously been arrested in Russia for protesting the Ukraine war and fears persecution if deported.
