When will Russia repeal or amend its laws that prohibit gender-affirming health care?

Russia has a long history of discrimination and violence against transgender people. According to a 2017 Human Rights Watch report, transgender people in Russia face “abuse, harassment and violence from both state and non-state actors.” Transgender people are often denied access to healthcare, education, employment, housing and legal protection.
